I get breathlessly-enthusiastic postcards from the local Lexus dealer citing "overwhelming demand" for my trade in (trade-in allowances have never been higher!). I don't know a name, but I guarantee there's some single mom begging her baby daddy for that exact thing so she can look like the queen of TJ Max. Bad Doctor Frost
Someone, somewhere thought these colors were the best available options, and custom ordered this abomination. Have you seen anything so egregious?

Have you seen anything so egregious? Believe it or not, it is not unusual to see dealerships do such things on their orders for inventory...I think that is what happened with the F-Type I have now (Ultimate Black with a Dark Brown leather interior). I had to see the combination in person before I could commit to the car even though it was one of a handful available on lots nationwide with three pedals at the time... That being said, I could see the brown being a color that makes sense in slush country. Does not mean *I* would want that combination though... It's not the brown that gets me so much, as my car has brown leather also. I think brown leather is the "in" thing for luxury cars these days. What gets me is the awful exterior color, and the interior as a whole. It wouldn't look so garish if it was just brown seats and everything else being black. It's the baby-crap brown carpet and steering wheel and shift knob that just make it look like...well I can't say what it looks like here. I'll bet whoever ordered it has a home that's full of floral, gold, wrought iron, and columns though. centex

I suppose I could buy some grocery-getting shoes instead. Or a pair of Tingley rubbers.
