How to prepare for the next recession

Recommended Posts

Ideally, everyone would have an emergency fund equal to at least three months’ worth of expenses. But most people don’t have nearly that much saved, and building up such a stash can take years.

🤷‍♂️

that may be incorrect assumption for a lot of Americans .. I don't do any of those things and rarely take a vacation either.  I also don't have a mortgage into 4 figures like a lot of people; I haven't stepped foot in a Starbux unless I have been given a gift card. The reason is this... any extra $$ I have goes on the mortgage. I would rather pay down the mortgage than save................................

To say nothing of their $tarbux addictions.

Three months...hell, few have funds for three hours of expenses in savings.

Last time I bought something at Starbucks was in October of 2017.

It was early evening and I had just arrived in Tokyo, exhausted.  It was pouring rain, and there was a Starbucks location close to my hotel.

They had a couple of soggy sandwiches left, so I bought both of them and called that dinner.
