US Bank Cash+ finally did an auto CLI after close to a year, $1k -> $1500.

This was also the first time I didn’t pay the balance and let it carry past the statement date. Is that what you have to do to get CLIs?? Carry high balances?

All my cards are less around a year, or less. I think oldest is about 15months. Seems soooooo slooooowwww to build any decent limits.

OK, CB experts, I have a question about the reliability of MyFico (MYF) and Experian (EXP) simulator tools.  If there is a different forum or place to ask this, please let me know.

Background

I currently use both MYF and EXP to watch my credit.  Both appear reliable on their predictions.

Our 15 accounts have a line >250K, our utilization is low (<6%), and file is old and clean.

Both MYF and EXP tools are indicating that in 10 months, my score could reach 845.  The 845 score simulations show that my path to 845 is gated by both age and amount of credit.

Aging: Over the next 10 months, I have 5 INQs that age off, and 1 card that reaches 1 year of age.

Amount: We did 2 large purchase that we could pay down immediately, but both are on 0 APR, so there is little financial motivation to do so. We also have a small ($25K) mortgage that we need to wait for promotional reasons until August (long story, but not material) to pay off.

Question

Have any of you fellow CB experts found these simulators reliable, or only suggestive?

Patelco Credit Union MC - CLI $8500 to $10,500

(I rarely use it - like once per year for less than $10 - so rather surprised at the CLI)

If you want to get a mortgage there and hope to close by mid-2027, I'd suggest you get started now.

Not credit but checking account at Wells Fargo. Signed up for the $400 bonus with $3,000/month direct deposits for three months and the free Experian FICO 9 Score.

Applied online and was approved instantly. I put in a deposit of $50 charged to credit card. No hard inquiry. I was able to see FICO score on first login.

I might apply for Propel and Cash Wise cards if there are decent signup bonuses.

Yes. Thanks. I thought they wouldn’t pull anything like they did - bogus accounts - anymore if they were caught and paid fines.
I keep up with my accounts online and watch credit reports monthly even if they did.

They seem to be implementing/implemented audit trails to prevent employees opening fraudulent accounts.

I might keep the checking account open just for the free monthly Experian FICO 9.

Time to stock up on Q-Tips and Windex.

I still have the box of Q-Tips I bought several months ago. Windex bottle from god knows when is still not even close to half-empty.

I did buy a 80 loads bottle of Percil laundry detergent and two bottles of water softener from Walmart yesterday. I thought of buying it at Target for the 5% cash back and the auto CLIs they have been giving. But, I did not want to cross the road to go in to Target.

$2.500 CLI on my Marvel card that I use once every 3 months for a tank of gas to keep it active.  I ask for a lot more than that and they promptly shut me down.  Same way they did when I called in.

$7,500>$10.000.

All this month!

New credit: DCU PLATINUM credit card - $5000 starting limit.

Funny part... A day after DCU card started reporting on my Equifax I got an auto increase on my NFCU  go rewards card from 4500 to 5300. Seems navy wants to be my highest limit prior to DCU. NFCU wanted it's crown back.

NFCU also upped nrewards card from 3000 to 4000

Equifax at the time 664 fico8

Today I decided to try synchrony again. First up Walmart. Tried 5k... Denied, 4k... Denied, 3k... Denied, 2k... Denied, 1k... Denied. They refuse to budge on my 500 limit. Wonder if there is a freeze on Walmart cards for limit increases due to takeover?

I thought all hope was lost but decided to try my other 2 synchrony cards (these 3 only ones that survived synchrony wrath of shutdowns when my credit tanked 4 years ago and only survived because there was a balance on them. They even balance chased me so I kept charging and slow pay to keep them active. RIP; Old navy, thx, carecredit, Lowe's, JCP, Chevron) anyrate tried pay pal smart connect store card and requested my standard 5k from them during a denial. Floored to see they countered to 3500! 1000 - 3500

Gave me some hope with Amazon store card. Limit was 600. Requested standard 5k and they countered with 3000! 600 - 3000

Unbelievable! Which leads me to believe there's a hold on increases with Walmart

TransUnion fico8 670

Quite the hall for me! Best ever in my life actually

$11,700 in added buying power
