Capital One Quicksilver:

Last CLI request was $15,000 -> $75,000.  System countered with $20,000, which I accepted.

I just asked for $20,000 -> $75,000 and got this:

Note:  This is my first open card in modern history, and it started its life with a $750 limit.

9 CLIs in 8+ years have only managed to drag this turd* up to $20k.

* A warm loaf by my standards today, at the time I was pleased that Capital One was willing to squeeze this one off for me, and it was a decent place to start.

Wow! That's Impressive! AFAIK, you're the only person that's been able to achieve a high'ish CL with a Cap One starter card. Great job.

It's definitely taken forever.  This board taught me patience on these things, and now it's become a game. :)

A few hours later I opened a Capital One 360 MMA and funded it with $50k (for a $500 bonus for maintaining that balance for 90 days -- use promo code CELEBRATE).

While I haven't seen any evidence that they take banking relationships into account when reviewing CLI requests, it would have been smarter to reverse the sequence of actions.

Let's see how this turns out.

AmEx BCE $4,000 instant approval! This is my first American Express card and I'm 6 years and 1 month post BK7, so I've been waiting patiently to apply and I'm delighted.

Congrats

NFCU instant approval on a new card for $15000.

It's my third card. My other two are at $2000 and $3500 limits. A year and a half ago I didn't have any credit.

As soon as my new card reports I'm going to request a CLI on the other two.

Nice new limit, and good plan to leverage it!  :good:

Approved for $700 Overstock Card. I feel like I am very close to getting this egg to open up a bit. I only have 5750 in available credit and owe 1400, so utilization is bringing me down. I will pay off most of this balance along with Quicksilver Card giving me the Auto Bump for on-time payments. I just feel like things should start to improve, regardless of my (2) BK Filings...

How often do you try to get CLI? Also how do you request? Specifically speaking about Comenity Cards (Overstock). Thanks for your help
