Was approved for NFCU $750. I'm surprised that it wasn't at least a few thousand. I emailed them (as instructed) and they said they could review it. They pulled TU at 679. The only baddies I have are (2) Chpter 13 filings that were dismissed (1) 2017, and (1) 2012 (deletes auto in Oct.

trying to get TU and EX to delete, otherwise no baddies.

EX - 653

TU - 679

EX - 686

Beginning 2019 in best shape ever with guidance and advice from CB members:

-Added over 200K in CL; plan to add another 50K via 1 more card and CLIs

-Utilization under 5%; plan to have it remain in the 1-5% range

-All 3 FICO scores 805-810; plan to be 825 or better before 2020

-Appreciative of all of the wisdom from CB members

-Hoping I can give something back of value to you all

Nice job, although it really puzzles me as to why I got a lousy approval.

I about fell out of my chair when the rep told me that. Never in my career of rebuilding has that happened. I've always had to fight to get approvals......call the backdoor, ask for several reconsiderations.....wait a week, try again....I couldn't believe it.

Stick with it! You might be able to get some generous CLI's in the near future!

Thank You. Do you have any advice on the backdoor? I just called the status line. i got an email response from them, and it said based on y credit profile, income etc, that was the highest they could offer. My last paycheck shows 22k per month. My TU, which they pulled has 2 Ch-13 filings that were dismissed. One in 2017 and one almost ready to fall off.

I will try the CLI route at 91 days.. I guess

I can't be entirely sure, so hopefully someone chimes in who has more knowledge; but the BK, even though dismissed, might play a role. If you get on the phone with an underwriter, be extremely kind and generous, almost overly polite to them. Ask them how their day is/going (bc nobody else has), etc. That has gotten me some headway, but not always. You have nothing to lose.

I don't know about dismissed BKs, but I had a chapter 7 discharge May of 2017.  I understand NFCU disregards any BK filing after 24 months.  For me that means May of this year.  Right now both CC accounts are showing $1000 CL.  Once that two years passes that could go up if what I learned is true.
