Burgerwars
Another UnionPay card is available in the USA. It's a prepaid card offered by eCard: http://www.travelweekly-asia.com/Travel-News/Travel-Technology/UnionPay-prepaid-cards-now-available-in-the-US-through-ECARD My ICBC USA UnionPay credit card renews next month. I just used it at McDonald's to keep it active. When I insert the chip I'm prompted I must swipe instead. I'm then asked for a PIN. I enter the six digit PIN (the minimum) I selected when I got the card. The transaction says debit sale on the receipt even though it's a credit card. ICBC still offers the card, but you must apply in person. They only have 13 branches in the U.S. Mainly in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. If that's not convenient, think of stopping by to apply on your next trip to one of these cities. It would be hilarious if the AFSCME Union debit card ran on UnionPay which is what this post is about.

Of the bank itself, if they run Chex or EWS? Sorry if this is slightly off topic.

I forgot which one, but it's in Creditpulls. The limit they gave me is $8,000. My FICO is over 800 and my income is over $100K. This all was two years ago. I hope this helps. hegemony
my approval is in the CP database... ICBC is not generous but that was not the point when I applied. PotO has gotten a CLI (via a hard inq) but I haven't asked.

Mine are at $25k each now.
Burgerwars
Well, it's Saturday and no ICBC USA UnionPay renewal card has come in the mail even though the card expires in five days. I gave ICBC a call and they said it was mailed but the person who I spoke to wasn't sure when. My ICBC debit card arrived over a month before it expired. I told them to mail me another. I'm unsure if I got through to the person I spoke to, but he said it could take two or three weeks. 🤔

Burgerwars
ICBC emailed me and asked me to email them a copy of my ID (drivers license). After I did that they did email me back saying a new card will be sent. Who knows what happened to the renewal card, but it is far from the first time a credit card I was expecting vanished in the mail.
Burgerwars
Another update: I did get a replacement ICBC UnionPay credit card in December 2022. Yesterday (12/6/23) USPS Informed Delivery showed what looked like mail from ICBC. When I got home and opened my mail, it was the ICBC UnionPay card that never arrived. It only took 14 months for the post office to deliver it. It was postmarked October 2022. Who knows where the letter was all this time. 😕 Edited December 7, 2023 by Burgerwars hegemony
