Secured vs non-secured. K-Man you know better than that. I partially agree with you though. I've known some seniors knowing allow their adult children and even grandchildren run amuck with their credit cards.

Unsecured doesn't mean that the estate isn't responsible.  Or as the article points out, the spouse in community property states.
