We are introducing a new training program for our co-branded credit card that is especially designed for Flight Attendants, as this work group has the most engagement with our customers.

On the last few AA flights, the flight crew relentlessly hawked one of their cards (the red one? I don't remember - I was trying to drown their spiel out) after the preflight briefing... and during the flight when I was trying to concentrate on work. Truly irritating. And no, I'm not going to fill out a paper app and hand it to someone I don't know who's not regulated by the FDIC (etc.).

There is a lot easier ways to make $100.

Maybe when the contract is up, United can tell Chase to remove 5/24 or its bye Felicia. Then maybe apps will increase.

On both the flight to and from LAS this past week, there was not a single word about the card offering.  Of course, the return flight could simply have been the crew not giving a tinker's damn since we also got no pre-flight beverage service while the FA's instead talked amongst themselves about which type of chocolate they preferred...

What's hard about it?   The stewardesses are already getting paid.  The people are buckled into their seats and a bunch of them just paid $50 or $100 to check luggage that would be free with the card.  If ever there was a "captive audience" that is one.

You should have been drunk enough from the Centurion Lounge that it didn't matter.

That would be -EV as it would have meant cutting into other profits and going to the airport early.

Further, setting aside that free is free, the service is part of the cabin.  It is not unreasonable to expect people to do the job for which they have been paid.

It's crap, why not hand out iPADS with their employee numbers attached to the application so people who are so inclined can submit digitally. Paper apps are so 1980 just like their aircraft.

I'm half-way with you ...  for flights with in-flight wi-fi, add a credit card app link (with free access) and push this along with the paper app.  Better yet, offer a free month of gogo internet with an approved app.
