Considering the caliber of person that works at McDonalds and the fact more people are germaphobes these days. It doesn’t surprise me.

 

Or said another way.......take a germaphobe who sanitizes all day long, therefore never building up an immunity to anything, and pair them with the unwashed masses working at McDonalds, well people are gonna get sick.

On a side note, I damn near cleared out a Starbucks yesterday of its customers. I pointed out to the employees in a not so discrete manner that there were gnats flying around in the food display case. Lol.

Except it has nothing to do with McDonald's workers. 

 

The oocysts take 1-2 weeks in the environment to mature (that means outside the hosts butt). So it's coming from either lettuce or cilantro that was probably imported from Mexico with the incubation time taking place during transit and warehousing at McD's commissaries. 

 

Totally different than say HepA.

I did out a McDonalds once - but that was because I had Chinese food for lunch.

Back when I was a newly graduated student and not yet employed. McDonalds wasn't affordable on a regular basis. Mostly got by on Ramen and cans of blackeye peas with bacon. $0.14/can. I could make $10 last a week or more.
