Looking for debt consolidation company in Texas

Recommended Posts

Good morning!

I am looking for an reputable debt consolidation company to help out with my credit card debt. I have around $14,000 in debt at the moment. For the past 2 years my child has been in and out of the hospital with many long stays and multiple surgeries. All the debt I have is from paying all the co-pays. We had another surprise surgery a month ago that has wiped me out at the moment. I am now 30 days late on a few. I know the next couple of months will be ugly getting back on track. I have read where you can talk to them yourselves but I am honestly too mentally exhausted. I don’t want to do debt settlement with my creditors at this time. I’m in Texas and if anyone has used an company here I would greatly appreciate some feed back. Thank you!

I'm so sorry you're going through such a hard time. Call Greenpath and see if you qualify for the kind of help they offer. It's not debt settlement. Generally speaking, they negotiate with your creditors to get fees and interest lowered, and set up a payment schedule. Get all your financial information together before you call if you can.

Thank you for replying back. I was just reading their reviews online. I already have all my bills together along with my monthly budget in order. In 2 months I should have the rest of the last surgery paid in full so that should free up a large amount of money to add to the pay off on my cards. I was discouraged and disappointed in myself with all the 30 days past due but after going through all my mail early this morning and realizing where all my money went to I feel optimistic now over my situation. The total medical bills was over 1.2 million. Out of what insurance paid and what we paid in cash what debt I have now is just a small drop in the bucket. Lesson learned. Don’t let mail pile up for months unopened scared to see what’s inside those envelopes.
