I read that the oxygen supply in the actual cave is being depleted, making it imperative to get the kids out quickly.

Truly horrible situation.

If oxygen is an issue they should be able to run a hose through the tunnel and pump air in.  But man, the kids and parents must be beside themselves. So helpless.

When I read the Thai authorities were considering "diving" these kids out all I could think of was "WTF are they thinking?"  A couple of those kids would have died, they'd stop the process and be right back where they were.

They should be able to run an air hose into that space.  Maybe a couple CO2 scrubbers.  Some fresh water.  Some MREs.  Keep everyone alive until they can pump out the water or drill them out.

It's  monsoon season, they expect more rain and flooding. I wonder who thought it was a good idea to go in there during monsoon season.

I heard it was sort of an "initiation" to go into the cave and write your names.  I hope they did not forget to write their names at lease.

Wild Boars are tough animals. They have unusually high resistance to radiation for critters their size. Might provide vittles for human survivors of WW III.  Or vice versa.
