Begins today. I just applied and got an instant email confirming the credit within 2 billing cycles. Appears they are trying to make the card more competitive. Sure, there are plenty of other cards that offer this credit, but seems Capital one is increasing perks while others are going in the opposite direction. I'm happy with it. ;-)

Based upon my research, global entry includes TSA, but TSA does not include global entry. Just do global entry so you don't need to apply for both.

True. I think I've been on Global Entry for four years. Next year I'll need to renew.

Lots of people don't travel internationally, so the hassles of GE aren't worth it.

PreCheck is open to permanent residents.

GE is also highly restrictive. Got a reckless driving charge 20 years ago? Too bad for you. Precheck just says you can't be a murderer.

A friend of mine had his Global Entry application denied last year over a DUI.

Don't assume that just because you live in a moderately-large city that there's a convenient location to go for the required interview. If you don't use Global Entry enough you may end up spending more time getting to/from the interview than you will save in waiting time when you return to the US.

If this applies to you, you're probably better served getting the free Mobile Passport app and loading it with your trip/passport info before your trip.
