No letup to CFPB investigation into Equifax

Recommended Posts

Good. Equifax should absolutely be taken to task for the atrocious way they handled citizen data. As someone who has worked in I.T. security, it blows my mind they hired a music major chick to run "security" at their firm. No network engineer qualification? No Cisco certs? No MCP? How the hell do you put such a 100% unqualified woman in charge of the most sensitive data of hundreds of millions of citizens? Honestly, criminal negligence doesn't begin to describe the nepotism that must be rife within Equifax to put someone in such a role they had no justifiable reason to be there. The SVP's and board members that okayed this pick all should be raked over the coals. Giving people a few "credit monitoring products" doesn't cut it, when you consider that the fallout of this hack will likely affect citizens for years to come.

No political comments please. I realize people have strong feelings, but CB is not the place to express them.

She probably works cheap. A lot cheaper than a CISSP or even someone with a Security+ rating.
