Just approved for AmEx BCE (I wanted the card for potential perks such as concert tickets or whatever, diversity and all that). I had burned them on a Green card for ~$1100 probably close to 20 years ago (but please don't remind them).

I had to call because they pulled EX which has a fraud alert on it. They said my initial CL is only $500 ? but I should check with customer service when I receive the card. Hopefully that's just a protection thing. Otherwise it's my smallest CL by far.

Barclay CashForward $9.5k to $15k via luv button. HP TU. I asked for $20k

Went pending. Abount an hour later a credit analyst calls. Nice gentleman. Complimented me on my clean report and that its very clear I PIF every month. Stated he wants to see more UTL of the card to get me to $20k. He pauses for a second, then says, if you can use us like you do Amex, we should have no problems getting you north of $20k. Again Vig we are approving you for $15k, and appreciate the way you pay (PIF) your obligations.

Apparently credit analysts at Barclay don't get Memorial Day off.

Well he was American sounding as American gets

EDIT--- His accent was more white bread than the Gumble brothers doing a newscast together.

They say this no matter how much or little you use the card.

Weve run almost $20k in personal charges through our Aviator Silver in the past ~4 weeks. Think I can get a CLI?

I really wish Citi had an AA card with EQM/EQD earning benefits. I'd flush this Barclays turd in a nanosecond.

No just EQM.

The silver is the only card that earns both, correct? And you can't even app it anymore.

Most of my flying is on domestic Economy, and generally isn't last minute. Both years I've qualified for Executive Platinum status I've needed at least one batch of 3,000 EQDs from credit card spending.

the Silver isn't advertised much, but I think you can still call and upgrade one of the lesser products. Not 100% sure on that.

I looked up the benefits and it seems pretty cool.

50k annual spend for example has a great return (aside from the lame 1 AA PPD)

10k EQM

6K EQD

taxes and fees Companion Fare x2

Although without that I can't justify the AF to the slightest.

With only one revolver on my reports since 2016,via luv button, Cap1 CLI 3500 < 9500.

Next, an app spree:

Discover it 9500

AMEX BCE 1000

Ollo MC 1200 (I'll probably regret this one, after all I have read on them)
