Master 2018 Approvals and CLIs Thread

Recommended Posts

Indeed.  Step by step. :)

Data Point:  US Skank decline CLI after the 7-10 days notice online CLI request:  Only reason listed:  Number of recent inquiries (They used TU, which is 11/24, 6 within year) in a credit bureau report.

I use my Cash+ as a pretty solid regular spend for restaurants and other 5%/2% categories and PIF.  Limit's tiny comparatively.  Was 6 months since approval.  "Your credit score was 809 on 10/24/2018"  Interestingly, they used the FICO 09 in their reasons.

Ah well, use it for what it's useful for, it fits its purpose still, just not as 'comfy' XD

Chase Amazon - $4K.  Not great, but haven't had a Chase card of any kind in years, and it's my highest limit on a non-store card.  Care Credit and Art Van (both Synch) are the only higher ones I have, so far.  Slowly getting there.

TAD was just approved for the Amex Gold Card (NPSL).

SUB:  50,000 MRs/$2,000 spend, 20% back on dining for the first 90 days (up to $100).

I used a referral link from my Platinum to get 15,000 MRs, instead of the 10,000 MRs if I had used the referral link from my Gold Card.

I hadn't noticed this language on the Platinum referral page before; it was a happy accident that I noticed it before doing the referral.

CV, you seem to be an expert on AA, am I correct? What's the best card to get to optimize AA in your opinion?

NFCU Flagship Signature VISA = $8,000

Had an "offer" after AR pull as Secured card graduated 2 weeks ago.  Finally app'd, instant approval.  597 FICO 09  and 27 months payment history with secured card.

Yes, sorry, American Airlines.

Trying to determine which card is best based on users experience.  Looking at the Citi and Barclays versions at the moment, but open to all/other options that make sense.
