A few months ago I went out to dinner at a fancy Brazilian steakhouse with 16 other people. I offered to put the entire tab on my card. Miraculously, everybody was set to pay cash. I collected the cash and paid the $1500 check on Chase Sapphire Reserve which earned 4500 points. I was satisfied with that, but as I left the restaurant, I received a text from Mog'l (a restaurant cashback program linked to my CSR) saying that I earned $93. Then I got an email from the United dine program that I had earned 7500 miles. I didn't choose the restaurant and had no idea that I would end up getting a free meal plus 12,000 points to eat at this fabulous restaurant.

I love it when that happens! :D

I wonder if I can double dip Mogl and Dosh.

Have you tried this yet?

It's not a shopping portal, but a similar rebate program is MasterCard Easy Savings. It gives rebates of 1-5% at certain gas stations, restaurants, car rental agencies, hotels, and maybe more. It appears to be only for MasterCard business cards. I signed up for it years ago on my Citi Professional Cash card. The rebates automatically appear as credits on the same statement as the eligible purchases appear.

No I sure haven't. I have enough portals, etc to keep up with as it is.

I have both Dosh and Mogl on my phone, and I've stopped checking for relevant/useful offers because there haven't been any for me.

For Mogl I will eventually get some random amount back by accident when I pay for a meal at a place that participates and I happen to be anyway, and I magically pay with a registered card.

Mogl and Dosh use the same rewards platform, so they won't let you register the same card for both accounts IME.

You're definitely best off to have your main dining card linked to Mogl, an airline rewards dining program, Uber offers etc. It is nice to just see money rolling in even if it's only $3 or $4 bucks.

I only registered one random card with Dosh in exchange for a small bonus, then started monitoring for convenient opportunities which never materialized.

I have the C$R linked to Mogl. I have a bunch of other cards registered with AAdvantage Dining, Yelp Whatever, etc.

I treat the rewards like found money. It's not worth seeking earning opportunities, because I want to eat where I want to eat.

The C$R you can also link to Uber and also link to Dining Rewards. Those three run off different engines. Sometimes you can quad-dip.

I used to be able to quad dip Darya - 3UR's, plus 10% Uber/VLO, 7% MOGL and 3RR's from Southwest. I also ordered more from Panini Kebob than I probably would otherwise because I could quad dip it. Sadly Darya and Panini dropped the Uber/VLO thing.

I used to track in my main credit card spreadsheet which cards were registered with which programs but it was too tedious to maintain compared to the benefit.

I should do a reboot.

Are they even in business anymore?

I guess they are...

The one in Pacific Beach closed a couple of years ago. That's the only one that was ever on my radar, and then only because I've biked past it 77,000 times.

There's still a Joe's Crab Shack in Newport. Sitting on prime real estate on PCH and Newport Harbor.

There's another crab boil place is see everywhere in Orange County now called Cookin Crab. Don't know if it's local or national and haven't eaten there.

I really do enjoy reimbursable business expenses. Last nights dinner went like this....

Total Bill: $2500

Delta Blue CC: 5000 miles

Delta Dining Rewards: 12,500 miles

DOSH 10% = $250

That makes me weep with joy.

I spent an hour this morning redoing my card registrations with Mogl, AAdvantage Dining, Uber and even registered a few fringe cards with Yelp Cash Back.

Let the money and points roll in.

In other news, in June I earned $1.xx in Uber credits, but I haven't taken the time to figure out how that happened.

Next personal Uber ride is getting home from the SAN airport on Friday.  My mother decided it's more important to attend a funeral than pick me up.

Trunow Rewards App. Earn 1% CB at all gas stations. Sometimes 2%. Money load out to your PayPal account.

All you have to do is take a picture of your receipt within the app. That's it.

Personal example tonight.....

Exxon DOSH 2% + 1% Trunow = 3% Couple that with your favorite rewards CC for even more.

What do you do with the Trunow rewards?  There are zero redemption options in either of our zip codes.

Because there were no redemption options or some other reason?

The app used GPS constantly, even when the app wasn't being used.Killing battery. I would disable GPS for the app, then it would lock up the app. This was on Android. Not sure of things were better on Apple devices.
