Equifax Online dispute page

Recommended Posts

I want to check the status of some disputes I mailed into Equifax.

I used up my monthly credit report with the $1 3 for 1 service. For the last week when I go to the website to check the backdoor, the page is constantly showing some "down for maintenance" message.I tried logging in but you need to purchase products to see report. Any other ways to see EQ report for free or very cheap? Don't want to use my yearly report with them yet. I'm trying to get some things cleared up so I may purchase a home. Thanks!

Don't. Seriously.

EQ will try to weasel out of mailing you your full updated report post-dispute. Even if submitted by mail, accepting online "dispute result delivery" waives your right to hard copy mailed reports. It also adds an additional 15 days to the 30 day investigation window. Imho, the online delivery opt-in is just another way to reduce consumer rights.

Patience is what I'm preaching, my friend. Any "convenience" in CRA interactions comes at a cost, and guess who's paying the piper?
