I was about to reorder some of my favorite salt to use on grilled pork chops (bhut jolokia sea salt), and then as I was about to put a 4-ounce package into my shopping card it struck me that $4 an ounce seems like a lot for salt.

Not even if the food was free too.

I have a $100 Applebee’s GC that was gifted to me. I need to find out if I can use it at the bar, and just drink my dinner.

Would have rather been given a Morton’s GC with no money loaded to it. Would have been less insulting.

The bar should work.  I endorse your approach.  :D

A very good friend of mine who has notoriously bad taste in food (and a sense of humor about it) just sent me a picture of a recipe she's making today.

I'm a little surprised that she chose to make something with so many ingredients.

This can also be made with tater tots. :)

Was grilling some hamburgers on the front of the grill, sweet corn in the husk on the warmup rack. Flipped the first couple patties and had a grease flareup. Set the corn husk aflame. When using the tongs to grab the corn to put the flame out the grease off another patty flared up and the resulting flame singed the hair on my knuckles and back of the hand. Ouch. Thing is I have a grilling mitt hanging right next to the tongs. But I thought I wouldn't need that..... no not at all.

And some of you probably think I would have callouses on my hands from being a knuckle dragger - that is not the case.

I asked her if she knew what that was and her response was "Wasn't that where we dropped the bomb in the war?"

Must be the side effects of essential oils.

Continuing the thought diverged from this thread:

A cheese steak witout (onions) ain't a cheese steak. It's like a Chicago Italian Beef without the sweet peppers.

Ain't a single thing wrong with a good Italian Beef double dipped with no peppers...
