On my walk back to my hotel in downtown Denver this afternoon I decided to drop in for some Jimmy John's to go, so I didn't have to venture outside for dinner later and risk being stabbed in the neck by one of the zillions of panhandling meth heads running around down here.

I'm not sure which is more disgusting, downtown Denver or downtown Portland. I can't wait to leave on Wednesday.

I was going to ask you, and then I saw the second part

Then I read the news headline of the riot in downtown Portland.

I haven't set foot in downtown Portland since 3/3/11 and probably never will again

I'm voting Downtown Portland is worse. Not by a massive difference, but enough for me to have that opinion.

I don't have enough experience with Downtown Seattle, but Pike Place Market is the last place I saw a crack deal go down.

I will agree that Portland probably has the edge.

TAD has romantic notions about Seattle because he has friends from his Ph.D. program who live there and love it.

I have to remind him that they all grew up in Third World countries. Literally.

When I worked downtown, I saw too many drug deals to count. And there's nothing like dodging human waste...

Portland used to be a pretty cool place.

I must also say I appreciate your correct usage of literally. Kids these days don't seem to know what it really means.

Kids today, generally meaning anyone under the age of 34, really don't know much of anything.

I am ata lounge. There are no prices listed.

There's a lounge for gas jockeys?

 If there is, then this one is not that.. I'm not on the job. There was an event at a lounge. I didn't drink anything and left early. Older crowd.

The event was free. I didn't eat anything either lol

I'm on the trajectory to have boobs again, so I've been making banana shakes to stay full throughout the day, in between sane and rational meals.

In my little blender I slice up a banana, squirt in some sugar-free chocolate syrup and one pump of Torani sugar-free salted caramel, then add some ice cubes and then almond milk up to the max fill line. A little PB2 is nice as well, but I don't have any here.

Banana this morning.

Me too! :D

Two? :)

Yes... one was green.

No bananas this morning. They taste "okay" but perhaps my teeth are sensitive, or the natural sugar.. Bananas are okay, but only once in awhile.

Burrito this morning. Open one end, microwave 60 seconds. This microwave is not as strong as the other one, but that's okay too. Means I can eat it right away. Eat it..
