the price of technical freedom

Recommended Posts

After realizing that my pre-ordered Note 8 T-mobile version was going to arrive with a locked bootloader Snapdragon CPU I cancelled the pre-order and bought a 256gb blue one from South Korea with the Exynos CPU and more mod-friendly bootloader. Worth it? Probably.

I don't know anything about bootloaders and stuff, but I hope you're happy with your purchase. :)

haha you maybe have heard of people rooting their Androids, or Jailbreaking their iPhones? basically just modifying the software on the phone to let you change things that are normally not accessible. I like to delete all the carrier-specific apps, most Samsung apps, and change the bootup animation and sounds, all of which require a phone that can be modified.

anyhow thanks to you both :) Very happy with it indeed!
