Original creditor wrong?

I had a Capital One Best Buy card in 2010. I let it get behind, and now it is collections. The name on the original card account is "Cap1/Bstby", but on the collection account from Midland Credit Management, it has the original creditor as "Citibank n.a." Would this be grounds for a dispute? is there any reason it would have citibank as the original creditor, or are they just flat out wrong?
