Savings Accounts for Babies

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking I want an actual brick-and-mortar bank/credit union.

Any recommendations?

Here's the big banks we have in my area:

Fifth Third Bank

US Bank

Bank of America

SunTrust

Regions

Wells Fargo

I don't think we have a big national Credit Union, although I'm a member of NFCU but don't use any of their products.

Ally Bank and Capital One have the highest rates from what little research I've done.

In addition to a 529.

Brick and mortar would be for the novelty of a small child knowing that is a bank and banks are where your money is kept.

No special reason.

If I had a baby I would definitely deposit it in a bank, or anywhere that would take it from me.

If you had a baby, I'm making a phone call to the National Enquirer!! Finally - something to get DJT off the cover!

I used a local credit union when my son was young .. mainly because so many banks charged fees in some form/fashion.

Never did a 529 for mine and that turned out to be OK, as he did not go to college.

He's doing just fine.
