Chexsystems Notify Other Banks?

Recommended Posts

When I opened an account from Unify Credit Union they put a 90 restrictions on Account cause of chex inquires and so I called Unify Credit Union to lift restrictions since been 4 months they said they can't cause they notified by another credit Union that I had an account closure for a false address which is totally not true. I was supposed to move to Tennessee and I had address where I was going to move so I applied online to Eastman CU was approved for an account and next day they closed account reported me to chex for possibly reporting false info to open account.

My thinking they were not notified by Chex or by Eastman. I think Unify ran chex again when 90 days were up to remove restrictions and saw it on my chex. Any thoughts?

As we often post, anytime you have negatives in Chexsystems or EWS, you are subject to an account closure or freeze. Several things can trigger an adverse action by the Security or Loss Prevention section of that financial institution.

The best strategy is to find a non-Chexsystems non-EWS bank or credit union while you are disputing or clearing those reports. Reply with your city and state if you need possible options for your location.
