Since when do banks report savings accounts and balances to the CRA's?

I just got an alert this morning that my savings account with USAA was reported to Experian - with my savings balance showing.

I do have a secured card, but the account they reported is not attached to my secured card and is a different balance. This was a new savings account I just opened with them.

I was just told because I have over a $5,000 balance in there it reports (I just took out a 5k loan for my dad to get his roof fixed). I've had that much in the past previously and none of my savings have ever reported before.. not from any of my credit unions.

Escalating...

So glad I ditched USAA. They definitely cater to higher income folks (AKA officers), from what I've witnessed.
