Froze Chex and was approved for Capital one hours later!!!

not sure if they look at anything else since they cant look at the Chex report but i have a couple of accounts on there from a couple years ago. ive since be able to join a CU and then recently after i found out about this and was able to get capital one 360 as a back up.

Be careful. When you are on Chexsystems, always keep one or more non-Chex backup accounts. They use EWS and have been known to close accounts later. Also, once Chex is unfrozen, they may run a check. If you pass two statement cycles, you should be okay.

im with a local credit union that ive had for over a year, i seen a post on facebook about freezing chexs and applying for Capital one 360 online apparently its worked for others and i wont un freeze my chex for awhile but everyone that has done it say that its still open and been 3-6 months. i only really did it because they are running a promo if you deposit $250 twice they will give you $400 promo400 so im waiting on my DD to hit and we will see but people are claiming they got the promo and that its been open for a while so if anyone has a problem with chex id go this route i mean it wont hurt to try. will update in a couple of months if its still open... more to come
