Confirmation email from Citi on my closing of the AA Platinum.

Gonna pick up an Aviator now?

That's probably my next Stupid Human Trick.  That said, Barclays is getting touchier and touchier about my total available credit.

Also, getting under 5/24 seems impossible these days, le sigh.

Not very alluring when the max I'm getting on liquid savings is 0.65%.

You’ve opted-in to a 0% promotional APR for 7 months on all new purchases, including purchases made online. After that, your standard purchase APR will apply, 15.99% variable1.

Your 0% promotional APR could save you money on every purchase you make with your AAdvantage® Aviator® Silver Mastercard® from May 1, 2021 through November 30, 2021. Continue to make the most of this special low-rate offer and use your card for all purchases, including online purchases1.

Just remember:

  • This offer is good for new purchases from May 1, 2021 through November 30, 2021 and does not apply to any existing Purchase Balances on your account1.

Got an offer to upgrade from Amex BCE TO BCP.  Trying to decide if I should do it. First year free, 95 annual after that.

I'm happy with my BCP . Good if spend over 3000 in groceries out to 6000 plus 6% off Streaming

PenFed wants me to buy a new car @0.99% for 60 months. Unfortunately, the few vehicles I might be interested in aren't in stock and the new/used auto values are over-inflated now and no one is giving out deals.

I think that requires using their auto buying service, which I tried to use a couple of years ago.

I ended up with a selling price $15,000-20,000 lower by not taking the atrocious deals that were offered.

Yup!

I found out years ago that True Car and these services are little more than a referral service for dealers who have customers who may well be intimidated by auto sales people and the car buying process.

Got notice that, after a few weeks of no apparent interest by others in a vehicle I had found, they are willing to accept my (very) low-ball offer.  And I mean low as in what they MIGHT have gotten at auction...

I'll know in a few hours if they are serious...although weather sucks locally right now.

Good luck!

I go pick it up tomorrow...when the weather changed on me yesterday, I didn't pull the autodraft out of the car I WAS going to drive.  So I have a deposit down and most of the paperwork is a formality.  Hagerty is quoting me less than $200 for the full coverage through the end of the year (I am adding it as a collector vehicle with limited miles per year).  Confirmed that dealership had been set to send it to auction this week...

More emails from Sync telling me my statements are going paperless. I will log in and change them back to paper.

Cox (our ISP in CA) sent me an email informing me that I'm being converted to paperless statements.

I can (and will) switch back to paper after the first paperless statement, which is the first opportunity.

I wouldn't feel so strongly about this, but a few years ago they charged me $25 when an automatic payment was declined, because the card I had on file had to be replaced and I forgot to update my account with the new card number.

At that point I decided that they can pay to mail me a statement every month until I die, or otherwise no longer need their service
