AMEX offer to upgrade BCE to BCP. $2000 spent equals $250 statement credit. Should cover the annual fee. Going to pay the house taxes with it, then PC back to BCE. Too many of my local grocery stores don't take AMEX. Kinda of a shame, as I wouldn't mind paying the AF if I could use it all the time.

Even if they accepted Amex, only some supermarkets are included not all grocery stores. Edited by credit_help

Right, a lot of cheap/outlet groceries stores code as "discount stores" or something other than "grocery". Had more than a few stores not code the way you might think. The BCP card only really makes sense if your primary grocery store accepts it and codes properly, otherwise the $95 isn't worth it.

My shopping includes these type of stores as well. Even the major supermarket chain did not code as supermarket for me.

What supermarket, and what did it code as? The only major store in my area that accepts and codes as "grocery" with AMEX is Smart and Final, which isn't my primary grocery.

It’s “Pick ‘n Save”. The parent company operates few other supermarkets too.

It codes as “Merchandise & Supplies - Groceries” just like a few smaller grocery stores.

Pick n' Save LOL this is not a supermarket sounding name. If it doesn't look like Publix or Kroger it's something else. Can't blame Amex. Lol

Kind of like Save-A-lot. Lol. All their stores are located in sub optimal hoods.

It's owned by

Kroger

. See the Kroger family at the bottom of the page. Not all states have Kroger or Publix. Kroger uses the name in only a few states.

No. It's a regional supermarket chain that does not have any locations outside of WI. It's similar to Kroger.
