At first I was wondering if this would be another Magic Shave type thread.

 

I have a feeling that the perp is checking to see if they have been spayed. (and a neutered male doesn't look that much different than a female until they are closely examined)

I've seen few shaved beavers I my time. Most of the beavers around here usually leave a little patch of hair towards the top.
