Ex-Con Update

Recommended Posts

Just a quick thanks to all who helped me on my path to restoring my credit/self esteem. I know some mocked me for posting but that says more about them then me. Last fall I started reading a lot here and followed direction from those who have travelled this journey and the results are telling. I've still a ways to go, but I do want to share that the info on CB has been invaluable. Thanks to all for the pleasant surprise I had yesterday when checking Fico.

Proud of you! It's a slow climb, but picks up speed after aging. The best time to start was 10 years ago, the next best time to start is right now.

This place can SOMETIMES be like a dysfunctional holiday get together but all that matters is that you got the information you needed to succeed.

CONGRATS!!! :clapping:

That's so awesome! Congratulations!

Take care of that score and it'll just keep rising--but it's already really great! Congratulations again. I'm happy for you to see it paying off.

I really appreciate the kudos, however it's all because of the info/experience you folks provided. Thankfully in the past I learned to "stick with the winners" and you folks are winners in my book, so I followed your direction. I may doze, but rarely close!

Nice! Looks like that score change happened pretty quickly? What was the change to your report that got you that score jump?

I think the bump was due to several COs were aged out on TU. I imagine that within 4-6 months they will be reflected on EQ and EX.

OP!!! Well done! :clapping:

I am glad you stayed true to yourself.. what you wrote in the first paragraph resonates with me. Also steelers1 post talks to me. I assure you.. there are more people here that have let their credit run off the rails, and are looking for a reason to better it, either by putting in the work to fight CAs, or making the resolution to have the discipline to pay down their balances, and change spending habits. It is posts like yours that let someone have that final piece of mind to do what they need to do.

Good job, OP. :good:
