Discovery IT, +$5,000 to $57,000 after submitting pay stubs again to prove the same income I proved six months ago when they gave me + $2,000.

The trained eye will spot that I recently made an error using this account, and the correction is reflected in the screenshot.

As of two hours ago TD is a US citizen. We celebrated with BBQ for lunch and a new Barclaycard Arrival+, instantly approved for (drum roll) $12,500.

So far the experience with the Arrival+ has been Full FecalTM, as expected.

It's been almost a week since approval and we still don't have the card. Yesterday we spent over $10k on travel purchases that we could not practically defer, including a 39-night stay at an Airbnb rental in California for TAD and $3,000 in conference registrations for me.

It would have been nice to burn through the required spending for the signup bonus in one sitting purchase yesterday.

Setting that aside, it's comical to me that less than one day of travel spending* would have put us over 80% utilization on this "travel card."

* I say "less than one day" because I also put two domestic air reservations with AA totaling about $1,000 on a 24-hour hold, in case the card arrives in the mailbox today.

No "travel card" in today's mail either.

I am actually traveling on Thursday and won't be back to the Mud Hut until 9/8. Now I have to make sure that TAD opens the envelope, activates the card and puts it in his wallet between now and then.

Odds are about 20% that I will be able to pull this off in the next two weeks.

No Arrival+ "travel card" in today's mail either. We just put another $3,500 in travel expenses on a different card.

First Class Mail should take about two days to arrive from anywhere in the US.

The Arrival+ finally, um, arrived, I pestered TAD mercilessly until it was activated, and yesterday he hit the minimum spend requirement with one purchase for work.

Nice work, and the random limit is fun to look at.

Thanks for posting this. I was approved on the 19th. Called today and the CSR claims it was mailed on the 24th. Didn't know mail took that long. He told me to wait until September 11 and then call if don't receive it by then. Makes sense, 18 day mail route lol.

He ended with "if you notice fraudulent activity before then, you can give us a call." Um it's a new account

Started my "spree" last week with $50k in limits and added:

  • Accepted DCU pre-approved offer for $10k card. Instant approval, no HP.
  • Approved for Marvel MC @ $6k. Will use it for 3-4 months and ask for ~$20k.
  • FNBO CLI $10k > $15k
  • Amex CLI $15k > $18k (going slow, they asked for 4506 when I tried for $20k earlier this year)
  • Macys CLI $2k > $4k

Now at $75k limits not counting business. Not bad with only 1 HP. Marvel MC reported the next the next day and my FICO 8 scores changed: EX -4, TU -0, EQ +1

VERY Nice!

I would like to know how you are achieving such success with just 1 HP.

DCU pre-approved offers don't require a hard pull. I think there are a few other issuiers who will give new accounts without hard pulls as well. Even Amex issues some cards without a hard pull... you do get a new account though, which is sort of worse than a credit pull...

Also, some CLIs don't require a hard pull.

Is there a thread that provides a list of issuers that do soft pulls on apps / CLIs???

Received an upgrade offer from Amex online for HHonors card (no AF) to Surpass. SUB 100K for $3K spend. I've churned both cards in the past so I was surprised to see this offer with no restrictive language.

Subaru Motors Finance (Chase) lease for my daughter (put her name on the lease) who will be away at college in a very small town.

Her other recent approvals

  • USAA Cashback Rewards Plus = $1500
  • Discover iT = $1500

Today got DW a CLI from $12k to $24k on her Amex BCP card. She's only had it 14 months with an initial CL of $2k. I thought of asking for the 3x CLI of $36k, but with all the reported issues with submitting the dreaded 4506-T, I passed.

In today's mail was a letter from Discovery telling me that my CLI was denied because they were unable to verify my employment and they were unable to verify my income.
