Thank you!

Long time creeper on these pages. I've gone from great credit to bad credit and now am finally rebuilding. I've followed all the great advice on these forums and took a swing at applying for the PenFed Visa Signature. BOOM! Approved for 22.5K. It's my largest line now and I can finally start building my lines. So happy. Thank you!

For reference MYFICO has me at Equifax: 678 Trans: 656 Experian: 686

That's a great limit for your scores, and it should help you get other decent lines in the future. :good:

Was so surprised when it said approved 22.5k. I was thinking maybe if I'm lucky I'll get 5k. I called them immediately to have the card rushed and it should be here Wednesday.

Congrats! That is a great starting limit. PF is generous when your EQ is super clean.

Congratulations!!

That will certainly help pull up the next approvals and future CLIs! Higher limits beget higher limits. :)

His Nexgen score that penfed uses may be in the mid 700's though. EQ 08 Fico doesn't matter with Penfed of course

Feels good to get an approval like this doesn't it? I remember when I started getting them 2 years ago this week. Amazing stuff and does a lot for your self confidence.

Just remember to take care of business now and make sure you set up auto bill pay so you never miss a payment.

Yes indeed. I think I focus on my credit health better than my own physical health lol. Kidding...maybe not. I think I should now start to close out those store cards and synchrony accounts that got me started. If I do it slowly I don't think they will affect my overall age of credit.
