Well, thanks to my credit repair journey on CB my girlfriend and I just flew first class for the first time in our lives. 36 hours of planes from San Francisco to India and we didn't want the trip to end. It was amazing, and now we are screwed, because we don't ever want to fly economy again.

We were flying United first class which apparently is one of the worst, but we were in heaven. The service was incredible and the food was pretty damn good actually.

Thank you credit cards, thank you miles and points, thank you CB and thank you CB contributors.

To all you at the beginning of your credit repair journeys: There are HUGE PERKS to doing what you are doing that go far beyond having good credit. You will learn some seriously cool tricks on this board.

To all you veterans... teach me your ways. I am officially now a UR fiend. more! more! more! I need more UR! :)

Glad you had a great time. When it comes to travel, I live vicariously through others because there aren't enough benzodiazepines in the world to make me get on a plane.

My boss asked me to go to our Mumbai and Pune offices with him last year, even though he knew I would opt to stay here and hold down the fort.

I worked for United Airlines in the late 80's.

When we would fly as employees we always got first class if it was open.

That is definitely the way to go.

The first company I worked at after college had a policy that any plane trip over 2 hours would be first class and it applied to everyone. The owner/CEO had the same personal policy and believed if it was good enough for him all his employees should get the same benefit.

He also made St. Patrick's day a company paid holiday - he was Irish. He was a great CEO.

I feel you buddy...

Last year I started hoarding travel points and this year went to Italy, France, London and next week Hong Kong and Thailand, and all on miles Business and FIRST CLASS.

From Phuket im coming back in Korean Air in there suite, dam I cant wait.

Next year I have a Greece trip booked and Im coming back on Lufthansa Munich to NY with its supposed to be an amazing experience.

When I started last year my plan was get points and travel everywhere but I can really take 3 big trips per year so I use the points on Business and First Class.

My award booking guy told me if your flying to Europe you can go Business class which is a lay down seat, get a night flight so you can sleep. Now when you come back there you can spend a little more points for First Class especially if its a day flight.

As for joining the Mile High Club Im not there yet but I do plan to join it in the cabin on my next trip... ;)

Likewise with my dad... we flew nonrev my whole life, and thanks to my college courses, I extended it till I was 26. Nothing beat the ice cream cart rolling down the aisle - a chilled stainless bowl with ice cream spheres and toppings. And cioppino. Heaven. Getting back to "steerage" ( ;) ) was a shock.

How was the rest of the trip, KB!?

How did you go about the UR redemption for the trip?

Still here ... only been here a week. Trying to figure out what is next after India... maybe Vietnam, Cambodia or Indonesia.

I have my guy book all the trips i want to fly Business or First Class.

Many here might say its not necessary but to give you an example.

My Hong Kong, Bangkok, Phuket trip Im flying out of Miami. So Im flying Mia to Chicago First Class. Then Chicago to Japan, business class in Japan air, then Japan to Hong Kong in business class.

Then Hong Kong to Bangkok in First Class, i booked my Bangkok to Phuket.

Then Phuket to Korea in a Comodo Suite, Then Korea to Atlanta in First Class and Im booking my Atlanta to Miami.

So all that being said I got all those trips he booked for around 300k points and $700 taxes and booking guy for my wife and me.

That trip would cost around $20k easily to buy outright.

Hes fees are like $200 per couple which hes worth his weight in gold.

You give him dates and were you want to go and he will send you an itinerary for your review, if you like it he books it.

Now to get these seats in First Class around the world, i usually book around 10 months in advanced.

300k what points? UR? MR?

Sounds like the guy isn't transferring them to airlines, or is he?
