Hello. I opened my Blue Cash Preferred account with a $15,000 credit limit on October 6, 2016. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I should request a CLI of $30,000 to try and get $45,000 on December 7, 2016, correct?

Is it a guarantee that they will require the IRS form if they approve me?

Going to try for this on Tuesday.

Side note: Will a $0 balance help, or does it not make a difference?

Why wait? Website is live 24x7. Or is Tuesday when your 181 days is up?

ETA: Duurrrrrrr..... read the WHOLE post next time...

Lol

Sorry, not Tuesday, but Wednesday.

Oops. Forgot to mention something. When I got the card, I applied for a CLI and was denied. I've read that when this happens, you must wait until 90 days after the denial to try again. I've also read that you can still qualify for a CLI at the original 61 day mark.

Thoughts?

I did the same when my Everyday card arrived .they said the account was too new and to wait 61 days and then try...so I waited almost 70 days after I was approved for the card and got a 3x increase...so yes..it is 61 days...like they said

Im in the same boat. I opened my $15k BCE on 10/8 and have used it heavily and paid in full. I currently owe $600. On 12/9 I can ask for a cli. I opend a Platinum card in the last two weeks and have almost met the $3k spending requirement. Im a lil scared to ask for the 3x increase to $45k on the BCE in fear of FR. My income can support a cl of $25k. I have a $32k cap one card. What would you do?

I know you would reset your CLI clock if you picked up a new credit card, but don't believe that's the case here with the new charge card. Hopefully someone else can clarify if that's the case.

How did you arrive at your income supporting 25k?

If you're worried about POI, and not necessarily a full FR, you could 'see if they'll beat the Cap1. Say 35k? Recent discussions on here showed at least one member requestion a CLI, triggering the 4506-T request, closing out and returning the next day to ask for less which resulted in an instant approval.

I also assume that means your total business relation ship Amex is only a couple months, correct?

My baby girl's asthma acted up. We are currently in observation. In March, she was hospitalized for a week. Hopefully, she gets to go home today!

OK, pulled the trigger. Denied, due to a bankruptcy in 2011. Yet they approved me for the card in October. 😂😂😂😂😂
