Welp, nothing updated today. I am so impatient, but I do think it's funny that CK can update and show the update that an account had been removed, yet, MF, which I do pay for, seems to always update a day or two late.

Anyway, I'm absolutely certain that I will have completely clean reports in 2016!

Just got a notice that my EQ had jumped to 693 (which is now my mid score). I was incorrect on my scores earlier, as my TU is a 640.

Eq - 693 (578)
TU - 640 (523)
Ex - 698 (573)

So, since July 3rd, my EQ is up 115points, my TU is up 117 points, and my EX is up 125 points.

When I say I couldn't have done it without CreditBoards, I mean that I absolutely couldn't have. This place has been an amazing resource for me :).

My EQ shot up to 707. That means my mid is now 698. One over 700, 2 more to go...

I understand exactly what you're going through. I just got a notification today from MF that EX just jumped 23 points to land at 702. My first one to break the 700 barrier. I couldn't stop staring at it. It was because of a $300>$5,000 increase on my Lowe's card and the addition of a Macy's Amex with a limit of $2,000. I can't wait to see what effect that has on my other two reports. I still have an Amex Everyday with another $1,000 limit that hasn't reported yet. I hope that will help too.

I need a new thread, because in under 6 months, I was able to hit a 700 mid! The NFCU secured loan hit this morning (happy new year to me) and gave me a 13 point bump. I had opened it for 500 and immediately paid it down to $45.

Current scores w/July 3 scores to the right.

Eq - 707 (578)

TU - 650 (523)

Ex - 711 (573)

Just under 6 months and all 3 scores are up around 130 points. :)

Still a little TU work to do and a few other things to fix, but it feels good starting 2017 off with 2/3 of my scores over 700.

7 Month Update

I started my credit rebuild 7 months ago today. Here are the number of baddies and collections I had on each CRA (remember, some of these are the same reported to different CRAs).

July 3rd:

Negative Indicators

EQ 7

TU 5

EX 5

Some of these were 90-120 late and huge charge-offs. There's a summary in the first post of this thread.

Collections

EQ 1

TU 4

EX 3

All but one of these was a medical collection. The first thing I did was get these things removed.

Scores

EQ 578

TU 529

EX 573

January 3rd:

EQ 1

TU 2

EQ 1

0 Collections

EQ 711

TU 650

EX 707

I have just a couple of baddies left and I WILL get those off.

I'm thinking it is just about time to take a stab at a decent card with some rewards and hopefully a nice limit. I'm an AUs on my wife's USAA Visa and her Discover and those have helped, but my $1250 limit on my CapOne isn't doing much for me. I'm going to do some research and see what card gives me the best chance at a decent approval. Suggestions?

Been a full month and a couple of days and I'm still plugging away. So close to having completely clean reports. Received a notification today from CreditKarma that the bad boat account has been removed from my EQ report. It hasn't reflected on myFico yet, but that was the last negative on my Eq and I'm really excited about that. Now I just have the boat and a 30 day late from an old account on TU and an old 30 day late on a closed account on Ex. Will update when the removal is reflected in my score.

Filthypeddler I started a journey today and trying to get some help you, anyone can weigh in with any suggestions I'll appreciate it. The question I have were any of your within Sol? all of the ones I'm working on are within SOL. Thanks

Don't know if you read my initial post, but to answer your question - Yes, there were a few that were within SOL and I was still able to get them removed (and not get sued). Idk if my case is rare or whatever, and I'm definitely no pro nor do I believe that I'm gifted at repairing my own credit, I just believe that I was persistent and was able to find the knowledge here that I needed.

Time for an update... I bought a car a few weeks back (I've already paid a couple of notes on it ahead of schedule). That initially dropped my scores, but they've started to recover now.

Still grinding down to the last couple of negatives until completely clean reports. But I have updated my scores on the 3rd of every month, and wanted to do so today so I can look back and reflect! Hard to believe that 9 months have already passed since I decided to do something about my credit.

Today's Fico 9 scores with July 3, 2016 scores in parenthesis.

EQ: 713 (578) +135 in 9 months

TU: 668 (523) +145 in 9 months

EX: 711 (573) +138 in 9 months

My bankcard, mortgage, and auto scores are also way up. I'm thinking about seeing what kind of great cards I can get with my improved profile, but I may just wait until I get those last couple of negatives off of TU and it catches up with everything else.
