Equifax has had 30 days

Recommended Posts

I sent the initial dispute letter to Equifax on July 18 using certified mail. They received it on 7/20/2016 @5:05am. I have not received anything from Equifax as a response to the collections on my account. I have both paid collections and unpaid collections. I am unclear on which follow-up to the CRA to use.?

I have signed up for credit check total and all but one account is still showing plus an additional new one. My July Equifax Fico score was 618, now 608. The status updates on credit check total has August 2016 dates. Help? Do I send certified mail letter to CRA again?

Have you followed the guides?

http://www.whychat.5u.com/GUIDEBOOK.html

http://www.whychat.5u.com/GUIDE%20HIPAA%20PROGRAM.html

What initial dispute letter did you send to Eq?? This one?

http://whychat.5u.com/hipaadisp.html

IF you opted out, deleted old addresses and are working from REAL credit reports, not 3rd party monitoring service reports ( which do NOT have individual ID #s) then you need to review your steps and make sure you send the initial dispute letter PROPERLY by PRIORITY MAIL with a TRACKING #, not certified mail which needs to be signed for and would have been treated as a "NON" consumer dispute.

I assume you are referring to a medical account?? Reporting JUST on Eq.?? What was the date of medical service??

Yes, I have opted out, deleted old addresses, received all 3 paper credit reports with their own ID #s, and used the format for the initial dispute via priority mail with a tracking number. Sorry for the miscommunication of certified mail instead of priority mail.

Franklin Collections-No date of service. Date assigned 4/2015: 1st date of delinquency 10/2013 Balance 0 (because I paid it before I joined earlier this year)

Financial Data Systems- No date of medical service. reported 3/2015: assigned 2/19/2015 : unpaid: dOFD; 9/2014 (I know that this one is from eye surgery I had back in 2005. But it reports as if it was 3/2015)

SCA collections- No date of medical service. Reported 3/2016. Assigned 6/2010. DOFD 12/2009: Bal. $0 ( another one I paid prior to knowledge of Creditboard)

SCA-No date of medical service. Reported 2/2016. Assigned 6/2015.DOFD; 1/2015: Bal. $0 ( paid this one too before CB)

SCA- No date of medical service. Reported 5/2016. Assigned 12/2015.:DOFD: 07/2015: Unpaid

Still waiting on Experian and Transunion as they are still within their 30 day response window.

Just FYI - the DOFD is the date of service for medicals. (Or SHOULD be, legally)

You need to have the results from all the CRAs before moving on to the next step. Check the back doors* to see what's going on.

Next you'll send the medical DV to the CAs. You send one for each CRA still reporting, in the same envelope.

This one for accounts reporting a balance:

http://whychat.5u.co...cavalhipaa.html

This for the "paid" ones:

http://whychat.5u.com/ltrcavalhipaa.html#PAID

Then, as soon as you get online proof of delivery, you send the follow-up to the CRAs:

http://whychat.5u.co...aa.html#DISPUTE Enclosing a copy of that CRA's DV letter, and the proof of delivery.

Good luck!!

*To check the back door, go to the CRA's website and find the link to start a new dispute. This will bring up your current report - DO NOT actually start a new dispute, just close the window when finished.

THANKS!!! SCA sent the following letters regarding the two paid and one unpaid medical accounts:

"Dear Sir/Madam:

Per our client's request, we have made the necessary adjustments to the above referenced account and we have sent the information to the credit bureaus for removal of the item from your credit report. Please allow the credit bureaus 30-45 days to complete this request.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

.........................'

I am still waiting to hear from the other two.

Thank you for your help. Little by little, I am getting there>>:)

You received this after sending your DVs & follow up letters?

Have you heard from the CRAs?

Responses from the CAs are of no importance, but I do hope you get the deletions!

A response from a scam scum junk debt buyer is as meaningless as anything else these lying CAs say or do.

Have you received a response from ALL the CRAs to your initial disputes??

Have you sent the medical DV to ALL CAs whose accounts were NOT deleted from ANY report??

http://whychat.5u.com/ltrcavalhipaa.html

Have you sent the follow up dispute to those CRAs?

http://whychat.5u.com/ltrcavalhipaa.html#DISPUTE

Check the "back door" of the CRAs - you go to the CRA website, click on FILE A NEW DISPUTE ( you will NOT actually file a new dispute) this brings up a current copy of your report. SAVE IT in your files.

Have you received a response from ALL the CRAs to your initial disputes?? Yes. Transunion has deleted everything but did not send me an updated report via mail. They said for me to go online to view changes but I can't do that either. Experian deleted all but one. I have an updated report from Experian. Equifax said that they have verified all data as correct and for me to contact the CA. I did that and when I get the proof of delivery, I sent it to Equifax with copies per CB's suggestion.

Yes I have received a response from all 3 CRA now. I have received all CAs removed from Experian; one of the OC is showing on my Transunion report instead of the CA, the rest are gone from Transunion: and Equifax deleted all but one of the CA and that one came back verified. I have not received any response from the CA and thy have had 30 days to respond. Equifax is sending all results of my disputes online. I went in the back door to check on the status and found that they sent it via online and not mail. Help???

Yes I have received a response from all 3 CRA now. I have received all CAs removed from Experian; one of the OC is showing on my Transunion report instead of the CA, That is IMPOSSIBLE OC health care providers are prohibited from reporting directly. Are you SURE you are not just seeing the NAME of the OC on a CA entry? the rest are gone from Transunion: and Equifax deleted all but one of the CA and that one came back verified. I have not received any response from the CA and thy have had 30 days to respond. Equifax is sending all results of my disputes online. I don't know why you are getting your results on line instead of by mail. I would guess that you had SOME kind of prior dispute or correction that you did on line or by phone-- (address deletion??)
