Was also approved from Hyundai Financial for 1.79% APR for 72 months, but the total cost was cheaper going with BofA [at 3.84%] due to rebates making the loan and payments cheaper

Anything over $20k, I'd do either 84 months or a balloon.

It won't take us that long to pay off the house we bought in 2014.

What's our secret?  We didn't buy as much as we could "afford."

Did you see the guy who posted his BMW lease payment? I wonder how real that actually is.

What kind of a tool would post his lease payment?

The kind that hangs out on MF. And the response to it was classic MF also.

They really play it fast and loose with the term "super" over there...

Yeah, but look at all those cards in his sig. Three rows!!! Plus a checking account? If that’s not super, I’m not sure what is.

Re: Discover acceptance

A few years ago I went to London. Naturally, most people I spoke to in shops and restaurants were British or from somewhere else in Europe. I did run into one person working at a gym, who was American.

That's about how likely you are to run into a place that takes Discover.

Jeezus, 8 years???  That idiot's gonna be paying $52K for a stupid truck!  Cripes, you can get a perfectly serviceable 8-year-old F150 that a working man can earn money with for about $10-12K - half the payment and it's done in 3 years!   Man, Dave Ramsey sure is right about one thing...

That nugget was laughable, even moreso than the original premise of the thread.  Dude was whining about the 'high standards' as the reason they couldn't get an approval.  Clearly they don't even read the threads on that board to know that Comenity is like the bat-crap crazy relative you rarely see...and don't want to be around on the rare occasion they ARE in the house.

LOL the dude had 10 accounts with a total of $51K+ exposure...

"Guess I'm officially out of the Comenity club as well."

Who would want to be in a club with a bunch of losers like Comenity? lol good riddance.

Good Lord, if I were a crap subprime outfit like Comenity I wouldn't want $51K+ exposure to a subprime borrower either and would shut that shite down too!

Cannot even fathom dragging out ANY vehicle for that length of time...and definitely not something that cheap.  There is precisely ZERO reason to go longer than three or maybe four years on a $40K note unless they are giving free money (you know, those 0.0% rates that occasionally show up) and condition the rebates on use of the manufacturer's financing.  And 4.43% ain't free money...I sure hope they toss at least an extra grand a month at that puppy, but my guess is they lack the resources to do so.  At least that sucker, err customer isn't posting an upside down figure like one of the ones Hege had posted earlier in the month...

I'll also post the unpopular opinion (with some) that NO half-ton truck is worth $40K.  That is more than I paid for my one-ton that was actually equipped in a manner that permitted use AS a truck is intended to be used.  Concur with the earlier comment that an eight-year old F150 would be a better bet, not just on cost but in terms of actually being able to USE it as intended...

Idiot.

Better yet was his comment to someone else that basically suggested he lacks the actual resources to be someone that AXP views as a target customer for that card...but they will be more than happy to take $550 each year from a dummy that likely won't even have hit the spend threshold to get the bonus LOL!

"I agree.  I won't get any "perks" unless I use it....right?  lol  Since i can't carry a balance on this one, I have to be careful and spend within my limits every month."

And, while the APR makes it incredibly stupid to carry a balance, the fact that so many over there are not aware of the Pay Over Time feature is just laughable...even insisting that it is ONLY a card with a PIF option, not a revolving option.  Comic relief, thy name is the MyFICO forum...
