Golden 1 Credit Union hits $10B milestone

Recommended Posts

It's not a bad credit union. I live in California so I joined several years ago. It's a hard pull to join and they run Chex.

All I had was a savings account, but exactly a year ago they sent me a $15K pre-approved offer for their cash back Visa. I called them about it and they guaranteed there would not be a hard pull. I accepted and there was no hard pull.

Might be my next app. They have ploc at 8.04% up to $50k and a cc at 7.79% up to $50k. Are there any members who can give experience with them?

I am in California and have been a member since early 90's. I am at max exposure on CC and LOC. Friends who recently joined say they are conservative and required tons of paper docs.

30 year plus member here.

They are a VERY conservative lender.

If you're "Prime", you can beat their rates from commercial banks.

Their "Target Market" continues to be employees and family members of the California State Government, (which used to be a requirement for membership), but now anybody can join.
