I should add, if I do:

  1. I'll need volunteers to help proofread and provide comments on drafts of sections of or the complete document;
  2. I will view it as supplementing, not replacing or competing with, extant guides (e.g., Psychdoc's ) ;
  3. It may contain references to sex robots, flower deliveries to CRAs, and cats;
  4. it will omit topics I know little about (e.g., medical collections);
  5. It will be distributed free and far.

I would think, and I could be wrong. Your value isn't in a credit repair guide, but a pimp my credit guide. As one of our resident 850's, there's not much information on how to go from high 600's to low 800's. I don't see a guide that adequately tackles how to work the system, once you're not bloody but once you're starting to get some traction.

I could be wrong though. It just "feels" to me that an all in one guide of how do I move to better cards, get cli's, work banks against each other, recon strategies, how to work the system, and get in the 800's would be super useful.

My post count shows how new I am to the community. During this short time it has already been made apparent to me you're one of the most vocal and knowledgeable members here. Always offering advice or perspective (even if it is a bit cryptic at times). I think a guide by you with your experience would be very valuable. Maybe like Marcos mentioned above it should focus on or provide deeper dives that other guides don't already cover or mention at all.

A valued contributor to CB, but lots of nuance and levels of knowledge required for repair and dealing with creditors.

Keep in mind when I joined CB in 2003 I was a few years out of BK, ignorant, and made many "dumb" mistake in my feeble attempts to repair post BK. So I have been there; but as I mentioned above, things I know little about will get an obligatory "go read this by Whychat" or whomever. I may still be ignorant, but on cleaning and adding new credit I may have something to contribute :)

I think it would be a good idea to hear your perspective and how you went from BK to where you are now.

It is different rebuilding from a BK than just from trashed reports, but a lot of the basics are the same. CB can only benefit from various perspectives on the process.

And just let me know how much you are going to pay me to read it. :D

I'd be willing to supply some feedback. I could also pore over my history here with my separate stints at repair (had to go thru it twice) and add in things I should have done differently.

Having gone thru a BK and removing IIB accounts and the BK, itself, could be helpful.

Although I'm a mere shadow of your credit greatness I have gone from 500s (and a dip into upper 400s) up to 800s across the board and I think now over $250k in lines.

Who's Hegemony?

He's a member of Credit Boards who likes The Rockford Files which is my all time favorite TV show. Can't you tell? He has a picture of Angel Martin on his signature. He was Jim Rockford's friend who was always getting him involved in some big mess.

That's a nice theory, but in reality, each person's situation is different, their ability to carry out a plan is different, and often, a technique that works for one person does nor work for another person. If there was a cut-and-dried list of things to do, we'd just close down CB, publish a book, and make us some money, too. :lol:

I'm more of a Hawaii Five 0 guy myself. But I can relate.

Plus I own the entire Quincey series with Jack Klugman on DVD. So I have that going for me.

Quincy rocks too. My favorite episode is "The Punk Rock Episode". Quincy blames punk rock music for a death. It was hilarious.

The two best parts about Quincy is that he makes Sam stay late to work when he has a date EVERY episode, and the fact that his boss's NEVER believe him yet he is right EVERY time. If I were Quincy I would have just told Dr. Asten to show me ONE episode where I was wrong!

I hear what you're saying. But for the most part in "credit repair", there's been a few stickies and some really good things written up. What I don't see is a good sticky that helps you get from Point A(let's call it 680-700) to the promised land of credit pimpdom(six figures in available credit, 800+ score). There's no all in one guide that touches on that. And it feels to me that it is needed. Now granted much of that has to do with make a good income, keep your reports clean, and watch your score flourish.

If Hegemon can bring a unique voice, and update what we have as far as credit repair guides, then heck yes that would be awesome. I just feel from the outside looking in, I don't see any really good all in one guides that deal with how to get from mostly done with your credit repair journey to living the credit dream.

Does that make sense?
