PizzaPowerPunch
Is the NLSD method still alive? Any idea what would happen to an application from someone who had their accounts frozen and closed because of joining in the past but then being deemed ineligible for membership? If there are other methods that are still alive, please PM them to me if you would like to help me out without making the backdoor public. You'll have to wait for them to merge with another credit union (one that anyone can join via donating or a one time fee to some organization) like they did with USA Federal Credit Union in 2010. As to when/if that will happen, your guess is as good as mine.
Poor Bastard
If you're a member of "Porn Stars Federal Credit Union" and are no longer a porn star, you can remain in the credit union. I can't find any links to PSFCU, do you have one?? Any idea about requirements? 8"? Are home movies acceptable?
Poor Bastard
So I walked into my local branch and applied. The woman there didn't even ask for/need copies proving my Dad's service, when I volunteered them, she just said she would note on the account that I had shown them to her. Based on my limitted experience I suspect people could just walk into some braches and join without proof, if you're willing to risk getting culled later on if they follow up with you. Not something I would do personally. With all the talk about great CL's given, mine was pretty much a joke based on my other CL's, they gave me a CL of $4400 which makes it a worthless card to me and I'd have never applied had I known that's what I'd get. I attribute it to Chase s crewing me over and making me look risky to whoever did the approval. Edited August 31, 2017 by Poor Bastard

I'm unsure what you mean by 8", but if you mean eight inches you do need to be at least eight inches tall to join. If you're measuring something else, it's best I don't comment. Tiny leprechaun porn stars no longer can join.

alkyoneus
Has anyone tried apply since a member here mentioned the backdoor via National Association of Women Business Owners membership San Diego chapter? It's 29.99 month and they request $100 up front and draw down $29.99 a month. Do you have to maintain membership? Or can I cancel after the $100 is drawn fully? I'm curious to see if that works? Anyone successfully do? nawbo dot org is website Edited November 9, 2017 by alkyoneus

soccrstar
Some digging around and looks like USA federal sponsored nawbo. Venomized
Does anyone know if there’s still a backdoor way of getting into NFCU? I want to apply for certain mortgage they offer but don’t have any family members in the military.
mycorrado
I tried NAWBO and was rejected. (last year when someone mentioned it).

ukaserex
Wow. That's quite a review. I've got no beef with NFCU...except, their mobile deposit software ... it's a real pain to have to retake the picture and resubmit the deposit multiple times for reasons I can't determine. It's the sole reason I haven't transitioned completely over to do all my banking with them. I'll revisit it after the next update to their mobile app.

There are lots of other banks that confirm mobile deposits within an hour of deposit.

DiegoC, I had to submit the identical documentation three times before my membership was approved, and again after they locked me out of all of my accounts after I called to tell them that I don't have a hatchet wound... which is clearly designated on the copy of the driver's license and the passport that I'd already submitted three times before. If you're rebuilding it's worth the upfront nightmare, so press on with resubmissions. Eventually they will be received and processed by someone with a pulse. If you aren't rebuilding, run away while you still can. I recently opened a new Amex Gold card. My name is printed correctly on the card, but in email communications from Amex I noticed that my last name is missing the final letter. When I signed the receipt at lunch yesterday, my name printed with the final letter missing on the receipt also. I resolved this with Amex this morning via chat. If this had been a problem with a card from Enneffseeyou they would have frozen all of my accounts when I notified them, and then forced me to send in all of my supporting documentation for a fifth time just to regain access to my bank accounts. You know, for my protection.

You know, for my protection. You must have a long last name. Amex and even Visa and MC have this limitation with long first and last names. I had issues with several issuers including NFCU not able to use my full first name. But, they were able to issue cards with my full name eventually.
