On Saturday I got a long hand-written letter from a local Jehovah's Witness.  In Spanish.

Last time I encountered a troupe of these people at my front door, they asked me in perfect English if I speak Spanish.

When I said no, they thanked me for my time and informed me that they were only looking for Spanish-speaking people.

There must be some kind of sales quota.

One thing that has been a nice reprieve is not having Spectrum Cable salespeople knocking at our door.

Oh fork, this reminds me I have to open and look at my Amazon Wardrobe box, which is like sort of like shopping for free but I have been increasingly impractical in my choices.

ETA: I did get a pair of Dickies overalls in my first one and kept them, and the men in the supermarket really seem to like masks and overalls and OR they really are bored stuck inside. I noticed it a while back but I blamed it on rings being hidden by gloves.

Today's mail brought an offer from AXP for the Hilton Surpass card with a 175K point bonus for a $4K spend in three months.  $95 annual fee.

Considering I don't spend enough time in Hilton properties, that will be a pass for me even if it DID mean another card with no pull.

HSBC continues to send garbage to my mailbox.

Two years ago, I applied, they rejected who I am via military ID (with an SSN) plus driver license, and experienced a fiasco, which almost verified the key to the DNA process. Who still wants that ho-hum card anyway. Geez!

The men in the grocery store definitely like overalls. Boredom or not 😊

Received the updated Capital One Venture Card today. The chip card adds non-contact logos (RFID). A Visa symbol on the top. From left to right is an eagle-shaped hologram (Silver), located in the lower right corner.

An annual fee of $59, not shabby at all. (Card currently @ $99.)

      REMINDER!
      Account Status 05 (Account transferred)
      to become obsolete for reporting
      Effective April 2022

As noted within Exhibit 4 (Account Status Codes) in the Credit Reporting Resource Guide (CRRG®) since 2020, Account Status 05 (Account Transferred) will become obsolete for reporting in April 2022.

Refer to the Transferred category within Exhibit 6 for a list of Special Comment Codes that should be used instead of Account Status 05. Refer to Frequently Asked Question & Answer 46 for guidance on reporting transferred accounts, and to Frequently Asked Question & Answer 47 for guidance on reporting sold accounts.

All guidance that relates to accounts being transferred or sold has previously been updated to advise that the Account Status should be reported as of the time of transfer or sale so no further updates will be made to existing CRRG® FAQs (46 & 47) as a result Account Status 05 being retired.

The Metro 2® Task Force recommends that data furnishers transition away from reporting Account Status 05 as soon as possible.

If there are any questions, please e-mail metro2info@cdiaonline.org.

      Thank you,
CDIA and Metro 2® Task Force
