I have succeeded in pretty much getting 2 collections off my reports, and all I'm left with now is a 1 year history of on-time payments and a 600 fico across the board. No collections, judgments, chargeoffs - nothing. Unfortunately, in order to establish that good payment history I absolutely had to apply to different credit card companies. Some approve, some don't because of these damn inquiries. Anybody know how to get them off EX, TU & EQ? I'm talking 15 hards on each bureau. Dispute letters ain't working no more, bureaus just won't take them off. EX keeps writing me these letters that inquiries were verified, and TU & EQ just pretty much ignore my certified mail disputes. I'm following every tid-bit rule I've picked up from you guys as far as letter-writing is concerned. I saw on youtube that bumpage/choppage (ordering soft pulls, inorder to knock off the hard pulls) has worked for some folks. Anybody with experience with this? Don't wanna wait for 2 years for them to fall off, was hoping someone has had to deal with this in a much faster way

lol. Are you serious? Bumpage doesn't work anymore. Also, you don't get rejected because of Hard Inquiries. And now that you have all these "unintended consequences/inquiries" you have probably figured out what causes them.......have a plan when you apply for credit.

The inquiries do not keep your score at 600. You are not getting rejected because of inquiries. You need hard copies of your reports to discover what needs to be addressed. Don't waste any more time trying to figure out how to get rid of inquiries, they are not your problem. Other issues need attention.

As stated above and in many prior threads, the inquiries are not the problem. If you don't want them then don't apply. You can't apply and then dispute them. Well, you can but you're likely to cause yourself more trouble. You need to identify your issues and address them. The impact of inquiries for you is a symptom, not a cause.

Thanks guys for the advice. My payment history is excellent. I'm pretty sure if I drop my utilization down to say 20%, ficos would shoot up. I'm very encouraged by some of your comments.

I think we will all agree thats a great start. Just curious, whats your UTL now? Aim for -10% for max scoring.

Also, limit increases can help lower your utilization.

We can offer more advice if you list what you have now, balances and limits of each.

1st thing I learned in my repair was there is a clear method for every detail... not all methods match each person however.
