Applying for credit cards at the same time (Canada)

Hi all,

 

I was just informed I had been approved for a $1000 PC Financial MasterCard and they are sending it out.

 

Are there any consequences besides a credit hit and possibly being declined if I apply for another card with Walmart before I've received and activated the new card?

I've always wondered if the Canadian systems we're vastly different from our American Ones. Here though.. the Inquires are almost viewable in real time, to Banks.. so they can detect a "App-O-Rama" if a CB isin't frozen. No idea about Canada though..

There is a dedicated subforum for Canadian Credit but it doesn't see much activity. Not many Canadians frequent this site.

There are Canadians who read, and pop on to answer question is they know anything that can help. I think it's more that a lot of our tricks don't work with the more conservative Canadian banks. Try it - what could go wrong? We have a lot of tricks because people are adventurous and try things.
