Down payment assistance

Recommended Posts

There is the Georgia Dream homeownership program. They offer $5,000-$7,500 in downpayment assistance and financing based on where you buy and certain income levels. You can look them up online to see some of the specifics. They have a downloadable brochure.

Your LO/UW will ask about the source of your downpayment. They don't particularly like if you borrowed money for it. Borrowing money for a down payment is probably a good sign you're not ready to buy a home.
