In all seriousness, well I was serious about the dating, but one of the things I treasure the most from CB is making me aware of REWARDS!!!!!! My banks should be rewarding me for my business. I've turned into a cashback/points/miles guru because of these boards.

Agree. I'm now paying more attention to rewards. I just got the venture 2x miles reward card. I want to pay my $5k total monthly bill on this card and earn something for paying all these danm bills.

What this board is good for is for setting up a strategy. The more you read, the more you know, the better your plan.

I like finding out the strategies of getting CLI's from the different banks. What works in one bank won't with another, etc.

I think being able to research the different lenders, how they work, what CRA they pull from is really good information.

I think the information about which lenders combine limits is VERY helpful.

I like the empirical data, for instance Higher limits beget higher limits, don't join PenFed with a dirty report or you won't get quarterly pre-approvals, $2 trick, 94% Alliant self-funded personal loans, etc.

This is really for my own benefit. I’m pretty sure most will benefit from this post have well.

 

I'd like to ask the folks, who have been here for a while and have seen great success, to list 5 or more posts that has helped you tremendously in your credit journey.

 

Hopefully everybody, who had success because of creditboards, participate. This will probably help new folks here who are trying to navigate the sites.

 

MOST of the members here are downright helpful, and a wealth of information.

 

There are only some sarcastic jackasses that most of the time are supremely unhelpful, but as long as they don't muck up a thread to the point that it's just pointless to post in it anymore, I can get help topic by topic.

 

I would have trouble recalling specific "most helpf things," because there is too much of it.

 

Special kudos to those that run and own and manage this board (Admin and Mods) for handling the occasional stalker onslaught. They handled it wonderful last week. Mixed feelings on the first time, but, we move on.
