i know they pull EQ 04 what is the score needed to get there best rate on a auto loan

I have no personal experience with DCU and car loans, however if I have CB folklore correct, it's 680, but the rate won't be a lot higher if you're a little short.

I was approved for 1.49% (with DD). My EQ score was 699. I believe cv is correct that 680 is the cut off for the best rate.

I refied for 1.74% with a 673 in May. New loans, I could not say.

I was approved for 1.49% with a 700 score. I'm not sure what their cutoff is though.

680 is the minimum for best rate. If you have an underwriter that's in a good mood, you may be able to sneak by with a score just short of 680.

Am I correct in remembering that they are not fond of a lot of apps or new accts?

 

Perhaps that is NFCU? it is one of "them", I am moderately sure...

DCU doesn't like a lot of new accounts but an installment loan is a different animal vs. applying for one of their Visas.

 

An example from another CU....wouldn't offer me a CC but instant approval for a $10K installment loan. Just my opinion.

 

I'm auto shopping soon myself and trying to decide who to go with.
