A few weeks ago I started disputing items from my credit report. One item in particular was a mortgage account held by Specialized Mortgage Servicing and Saxon mortgage. My dispute was "never late" please correct. Within two weeks Equifax deleted Saxon (which was expected since they are now defunct); however, they validated SLS. Here is the verbaiged used:

We have researched the credit account. The results are: Historical account information was deleted from this account. This creditor verified to OUR company that the current status is being report correctly. The creditor has verified to OUR company that your prior paying history is being reported correctly.

Okay, my account History status codes show late payments dating back to April/2012 (one late payment in 5/2015). However, on the updated credit report that was sent the Date of 1st Delinquency is of 5/2015. Is this a contradiction? Wouldn't the Date of 1st Delinquency be 4/2012 instead? Also, they are showing my last payment was made April 2015, my last payment was actually made May 31, 2015 before my account was sold off to a new creditor. How would anyone recommend I tackle this?

"1st date of delinquency" designates account closed in adverse standing and the first date from which the account was never brought to a current status. In other words, the month before the first date of delinquency should reflect the very last "current status" notation.

Does this help?
