TheSorceressKnight Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Looks like Barclay/Sallie Mae are feeling generous. What would be a good way to meet the requirement? Amazon gift cards? Gas gift cards? Quote
ubercat Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 You can't meet the spend of 500 bucks a month for three months through day to day spending? Quote

dansamy Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Shoot! My boys eat $1000 of groceries a month. Quote

Lol, I get what you're saying, but if I do this my way (buying Amazon gift cards, etc) I could end up with at least 17,500 points instead of 10,000 Quote
cassadcj Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 (edited) Congratulations! I've had my Sallie Mae card for almost 2 years and have never gotten an offer like that. Maybe I use it too much and their computers think that an offer is unnecessary. Last month, Sallie Mae/Barclay did credit my account with an extra 2,500 rewards points ($25.00) for no apparent reason and without notifying me. I cashed it out as soon as I saw it--finders keepers. My statement showed this $25.00 as an "adjustment." I have no idea what they were adjusting because I've never noticed them to be incorrectly awarding rewards. cassadcj Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Did you just say "finders keepers"? Yes, I did. (Although I realize I couldn't have stopped Barclay from taking the money back if they wanted to.) Did you just say "finders keepers"? That happened! Breeze!!!!! New Title please. Well, I am missing something here. Quote

Occasionally CB members type stuff that is worthy of a title, see mine & Cv's Sometimes it's an unfortunate accident, see Neopolitan Nate and Mr Salad Dressing Hopefully no one will actually contact Breeze (on your behalf) and bestow upon you the title: Mr/Mrs Finders Keepers Quote

Buy49Get1Free Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 How did you get this offer? Do you just have to be lucky (i.e. it's not a public offer)? So you have to spend 3X$500 to get 1X$100, right, so it's an extra 6.67%? Quote

I had wondered about those titles. I thought maybe members selected titles for themselves, but that seemed unlikely because who would want some of them. I have a message board about an old TV show and the board's software will bestow titles based on post count, but I could tell that didn't happen here. "Finders Keepers" came to mind because it's the title of the new Stephen King book, which I recently read. Quote

My friend called in hopes to get it but they shot him down, so it must be targeted. You're right. Easiest bonus ever Can you stack it with groceries? I'm pretty sure I can. nateinva Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 DW got a similar offer on the Upromise MC but a little more sucky. Earn $50 after spending $500 in the same 3 months. I've had my SM for quite a while now and never get these offers. I haven't been running as much thru it lately though either. Quote
