Hi whychat I want to move forward with sending the judgement letter but I'm concerned about the address issue.

TU deleted every address that I requested.

EQ left an old po box that I haven't used for years and my old address that is tied to a PR. I checked my records and I haven't received a response from them other than a letter saying we put a fraud alert on your file.

EX did not delete my former address as it is tied to some items on my file including a PR.

What steps should I take now? Should I check EQ' s back door? I saw my address using credit Karma and quizzle.

Another question :)

I went looking through my records to see if I even received a response from EQ. I notice that EX and TU sent me a copy of my report when they were finished with my address dispute. I only received correspondence from EQ saying they placed an initial fraud alert on my file.

I went through the back door and see my address data is the same for EQ, no changes have been made. I mailed off my address disputed on 9/15/15 certified mail and they received it 9/17/15. What timeframe are they allowed for disputes?

In addition, can I just go ahead and send judgement program letters to EX and TU since they did respond?

Are the judgement disputes hand written or typed? I know the envelope is supposed to be hand written. I'm still in disbelief that equifax did not remove ANY address. I know you say to proceed, and I will, but it seems like most people have great success with getting address deleted from their EQ file.

Also, in the judgement letter this sentence says "There is no such judgment of record # xxxx from this Court for this date for this amount from this creditor..." Is #xxxx referring to the case number or whatever number the credit report references? Thanks for your help.

Use the # that is on the report.

Hand written is best, typed is OK , include a copy of the report with the "judgment" circled in red.

Transunion deleted both public records.

Equifax

One public record updated to satisfied/released. Filed on 11/2010

The other judgement was updated as satisfied. It says it was filed on 3/2011. It was actually filed back in 2010 but I missed a few payments so the collection agency was going to try to garnish my wages.

No response from experian as of today.

Wait for your response from Experian.

If no response by the end of next week, check the Ex back door

Check the Eq back door also to see if the account is showing as disputed by consumer

If Ex refuses to delete, then you need to file a complaint with the CFPB against both Eq and Ex

I did receive a response from experian. They deleted the judgement.

I went to EQ's back door and it just says satisfied judgement for both.

Just to follow up. CFPB said the reporting is valid and they would not remove it.

Are you familiar with pfd? I have some items I want to remove because I'm looking to purchase a home in 6 mos to a year? Any advice. I appreciate your assistance.

PFD is not a good idea, if you pay a CA it will then report as a "paid" collection which is WORSE for your credit than an unpaid one because it is still derogatory, but newer.

CFPB could NOT have given you the response you quoted, that response is likely from Eq.

When did you file the CFPB complaint??

Hi whychat, sorry for taking so long to respond. I filed the CFPB complaint on 12-12-15. I received the following response on 1-8-16:

STATUS:

Company responded

Equifax said:

Explanation of closure

Equifax has reviewed the complaint and its records. The judgment cases 7and 6 has been verified to be correct as reporting as satisfied on the credit file. Written confirmation has been mailed to you.

Response

Equifax reviewed the complaint, its records and initiated a reinvestigation. *Equifax did not receive any additional communications from the consumer during the review of the complaint. *Equifax will mail the results of the reinvestigation within 30 days.

I sent my DV letter for 15+ medical collection. Some of the collections were posted 8 months ago. I just read here not to dispute anything that is not outside of my state SOL which is 4year in FL. I did not have insurance for any of the bills. To be honest I really don't know which doctors belong to what collections. Should i be worried?

To get help with your medical collections, it would be best to start your own thread, as Why Chat helps each person individually, and what might be advisable for one may not be the right path for another. You probably read in the general forum not to dispute things that are within SOL. That is good advice for many things, but medical collections are a different beast all together.
