Thanks again for all the awesome advice I have gotten here. Need help in getting the last four baddies removed.

1. HILLCREST DAVIDSON (CA)

SAFE HOME SECURE (OC)

This was an alarm monitoring account. Said they never got my letter cancelling and auto renewed for a property I no longer owned. ...I stopped paying.

SAFE HOME: Scheduled to be deleted by 11/15 for EQ and EX. TU already deleted this month.

 

The CA account (reporting on all three).

Disputed online and came back verified

 

INCORRECT info showing as follows:

Date opened: Jan 2012

Account Status: Closed

Last update 4/1/2012

Balance: $2464 (same as showing on the)

Showing a delete date of April 2017!!!

No DOLP or DOFD info included.

 

Question: I never paid these people a dime. Should the removal date be the same as the OC?

Sent VF letter but got nothing done.

Sending them a VF letter RRR.

Is there anything else that I can do ???

 

 

2. CENTRAL FLORIDA INVEST

Time share account

I stopped paying in 2004 or 2005 (can't find the records)

Only reporting on EX

Info from EXPERIAN REPORT

Date opened: 2009 (this dates back to 1997 or 1998!!!)

Payment status: Late

Payment status details: Credit Grantor reclaimed collateral to settle defaulted mortgage

Status updated: 1/1/2011

Original Amount: $4398.00

scheduled to report until Sept 2017

No DOFD or DOLP info in the file

 

I disputed as old but came back verified.

 

What can I do here?

 

3. BANK OF AMERICA

 

Account status shows it was sold to another lender.

Reporting on all the CRA's

Original amount $600.00

Status: Closed $1,011 written off

Date of Status:

Comments: Purchased by another lender

1. Yes, the DoFD (and fall off date) should be the same for the CA as it is for the OC.

 

3. BOA recently agreed in a federal court settlement to "remove negative marks" from old charge-offs that they had sold.

- I think this is supposed to happen by Aug (but I'm not sure).

- They have not yet changed my BOA CO reporting.

- You could dispute it now -- see the thread I linked.

- Or you could wait until after Aug, and see if they fix it on their own.

At the end of the BOA settlement thread, someone else told how they disputed it -- I think obsolete but I'm not sure.

 

I'm waiting until after August to see what BOA will do on their own.

The way I read the article, there is a tiny chance that BOA will remove the CO and late status, and leave an old positive tradeline.

I seriously doubt it - I think they'll just delete it entirely. But I'm willing to wait a few months and see what happens.

 

I also have other COs still reporting, so it wouldn't help me personally to get this tradeline off a few months early.
