What ever happened to this card

I am not at all interested in applying not that I could anyways!

Just curious if they ever learned how to

Take applications

Buy plastic

Report

Charge interest

Or things of that nature

Well...

It remained hidden for many apparently.

They were giving out juicy credit lines and in some cases both of their offerings. It doesn't sound like it's good for MS since they are quick to shut people down. :|

Hidden for ALL, which can be a good thing, but if you can't put a lot of spend in the bonus caregories, the AF is not worth it. The 1% version was never worth the rewards.

I would publicly like to thank Mendie for saving me from this card and HPs...

I still fell for the Venture (with a decline) but that HP is still with me. Cap One is vicious from that standpoint.

Live and Learn. The USAir was a great success.

I got the card, and was given a decent limit of $40k. The only use it gets is when I go to Europe because it is a C&P that actually works well (even at the more difficult places like automated parking/metro machines). Once I can get another C&P that works as well as this card I will probably dump it.

I have the elite with a 10K line. M$ about 5K a month mixed in with regular grocery spending.

I've recouped the $300 af a few months ago. Everything from here is just gravy.

Also the fact that it's hidden its great for me in case I happen to carry a balance.

The interest on those balances have been also able to be recouped rather quickly since I pay the big payments right away and only carry a few hundred if any.

Everyone who got this card and manage to survive the shutdowns, has one of the best M$ cards out there IMO

I have this card and used it carefully for MS. $40K limit, and the best part is I have been using their lounge all over the world for free. It paid for itself with all the drinks I had at the airport lounge.

Agreed.

Worth it for the hidden tradeline if you got a HUGE limit, but not for anything else. :|

For hardcore international travelers, Diners Club has a lot of value. It's offline pin & chip, with pin priority. It also has contactless support. If someone needs such a card, then the annual fee is worth it.

Didn't they stop taking applications?

Yeah, but I think I'm going to paper app for fun. Just to see what they do.

I tried paper apping in branch last month - no dice. They're not taking apps.

There's been some speculation that BMO will reopen apps a year after they stopped taking them. Presumably this would be for regulatory reasons so that existing cards could be completely changed.

I doubt the 3x grocery category will survive.
